Ólafur Arnalds on Tour
Ólafur and his string quartet will be performing live on tour around the UK including a concert at the oldest custom-built concert hall in Europe, the beautiful Holywell Music Room in Oxford on December 11th 2007. He will also be touring other unique venues throughout the rest of the UK and Europe.
Fragile, emotional, classical indie music would maybe be the best term to describe Icelandic artist Ólafur Arnalds' music. Combining classical instrumentation with an indierock aesthetic there are obvious comparisons to Sigur Ros, but Arnalds is sculpting his own epic, string-laden compositions.
